Animal Care

Rabbit Fundamentals - 2 days Learn Basic Rabbit care from 8 weeks old through breeding, weaning, and growouts.

Rabbit Raising as Seniors - 2 days Same as Rabbit Fundamentals but focused on the needs of students 70+.

Rabbit Care in Senior and Group Homes - program for caregivers and facilities - in development Focused on abilities and respect for individuals with special needs who can benefit from involvement with animal care.

Raising Rabbits for Whole Prey & Raw Feeding - 2 days This is the Rabbit Fundamentals class with a focus on raising rabbits for your animals and their needs.

Raising Rabbits for Manure (Vegetarian friendly) - 2 days Rabbits naturally produce one of the best garden soils. Learn how raise and work with rabbits and incorporate worms and BSFL to have the best garden soil.

Rabbit Nutrition - 6 hours Learn about rabbit digestion and nutritional needs, how to interpret commercial feed labels, how life stages and weather play apart in nutrition, and how forage interplays with complete diets.

Rabbit Foraging Around The Year - 3 hours Florida provides year round foraging but availability is constantly changing. Every 6 weeks, we'll explore new plants and see how other change. Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced levels. Start with ID-ing plants and looking up nutrition and eventually work up to what is needed to create a complete diet using forage.

Gardening for Rabbits - 2-5 hours Learn what rabbits eat and shouldn't from your garden. What to plant when. How to balance the nutrition that comes from your garden. Beginner to advanced levels, seasonally.

Quail Fundamentals - Egg to Egg - 4 hours Learn the basic needs of coturnix quail from egg hatching to egg production.

Quail Fundamentals As Seniors - 4 hours The quail fundamentals class with a focus on the needs of those 70+

Raising Quail for Whole Prey & Raw Feeding - 5 hours This is the Quail Fundamentals class with a focus on raising coturnix quail for your animals and their needs.

Processing & Raw Feeding

Balancing Compassion & Reality: Developing a Processing Mindset - 2 hours You've cared for and raised the animal and now it's time for the freezer. Learn how to move through the emotions and appreciate your animal fully. No animals will be processed in this class.

Rabbit Processing - 2-3 hours Discuss dispatch methods, dispatch a rabbit and clean it. Learn what to look for and what to save.

Quail Processing - 2 hours Discuss dispatch methods, dispatch a coturnix quail and clean it. Learn what to look for and what to save.

Stop Guessing What to Feed Your Pet - 45 minutes What is the best diet for your pet and your lifestyle? We'll discuss the options and how to choose

Housing & Equipment

Cage Building - 2-5 hours Learn techniques and tips to make your cages stronger, cheaper, safer, longer lasting. Build a cage on site. Stay until your cage is done or 5 hours have lapsed and you have enough knowledge to finish capably at home. We'll focus on wire cages rabbits and quail but we will touch on wood/wire combinations as well.

Creating Hybrid Coturnix Quail Cages/Enclosures - 1-3 hours Take part in our hybrid cage experiment. There are advantages and disadvantages to wire cages and aviaries, We will discuss considerations and build together.

Brooder Construction - 1-3 hours Brooders are essential for coturnix quail. Learn multiple methods and choose and make the best option for you.

Feeder & Waterer Options - 1 hour What are the best feeder/waterer options for rabbits and quail in Florida? Which is best for you?

Business

Making Money with Rabbits - 4 hours Explore practical ways to generate income with rabbits beyond selling meat and pelts.

Making Money with Quail - 2 hours Explore practical ways to generate income with quail. We'll touch on legalities too.

Calculating Your True Costs - 1 hour Raising animals costs more than the feed. How much does it actually cost?

Homestead Skills

Make Your Right Homestead Decisions - 3 hours Successful homesteading happens when successful decisions are made.

Growing Food from Kitchen Scraps - 1 hour There's so much free food in our kitchen garbage.

Broom Making - 3 hours Come make a traditional broom.

Sprang Weaving - 1.5 hours The ideal weaving technique for the ADD brain. A make and take class.

Heddle Weaving - 2 hours Traditional weaving on a small scale. A make and take class.

Garland Making & Floral Stitching - 3-4 hours Come make beautiful floral pieces to hang and decorate your home from flowers. A make and take class.

Ancient Games - 1-2 hours Come discuss, learn about, and play (and optionally make) games from prehistory-1200 CE.

Medieval Games - 1-2 hours Come discuss, learn about, and play (and optionally make) games from 1000-1700 CE.

Learning & Teaching

Outdoor Learning Activities - 2 hours Learn how to take classroom learning outside into nature.

Creating Worksheet Free Learning Opportunities - 2 hours There are no limits to learning except those imposed upon it.

Teaching Through Play - 2 hours Games can teach, as can play. When students have fun, they remember and engage in lessons.

Creative Math Practice Techniques - 2 hours Math practice is important but paper and verbal drills get old.
